«Unfortunately I was not able to write you immediately after I had seen Quilt, although I felt so enthusiastic and had so many thoughts ready in my head to pour into a letter…. Let me first say that I was overwhelmed with all of the evening. The choreography was masterly. Lady Macbeth was a sheer wonder! Sonja was stunning. The costume and also especially the make-up were super. I remember the movement of the dancer‘s hands and esp. also her feet. Also the optical pairing of the singer and the dancer was well done: the singer came through as the voice of her conscience. The whole thing a great success. The Lamento d‘Arianna was and is of course quite unforgettable! Valérie sang it beautifully and moved her body fittingly and mimed her pain very well. I liked the mix of «realistic» and symbolical details.Incredible choreography and performance and dress and music.»
